Greetings from Texas. We, like the rest of the country, have a budget shortfall. This one looks like $10 Billion just for education in cuts. The prediction is 100,000 Texas teachers out of work. They want to repeal our student/teacher ratio law. But of course no one is yet talking about cutting back on the 3rd asst. superintendant for transportation or the curriculum specialist for physical education. Administration ratios in Texas have ballooned in the last 30 years but no one wants to cut the waste, instead let's just keep cutting teachers.
